Christine Falls
Christine Falls is a plunging waterfall on Van Trump Creek, roughly 69 feet in two drops (about 32 and 37 feet), famously framed by a historic stone arch bridge. It is reached by a short path to an overlook below the bridge, about 4.5 miles west of Longmire on the road to Paradise.
Before you go
Waterfalls are hazardous by nature — wet rock, cold water, and unstable edges — and flow varies enormously with season and recent rain. Trail figures here describe the route as documented, not conditions today. Check Mount Rainier National Park (NPS) for closures and current conditions, and confirm land status before setting out.

Frequently Asked Questions
Christine Falls drops about 69 feet. That makes it the 337th-tallest documented waterfall in this inventory, taller than roughly 51% of the falls listed here. Height comes from published land-manager and survey records, not from our own measurement.
The Christine Falls overlook (roadside, short path below stone bridge) reaches it about 0.1 miles (out-and-back), rated easy. The nearest town is Ashford. That describes the route as documented, not conditions on the day — check with Mount Rainier National Park (NPS) for closures and current conditions.
Late spring to early summer (snowmelt). Waterfall flow swings enormously with snowmelt and recent rain, so a fall that roars in spring can be a trickle by late summer.
