Charleston Falls

Often called a 'Miniature Niagara,' Charleston Falls drops about 37 feet over rock strata also found in New York and Canada, making it Western Ohio's tallest known waterfall. Trails, stairs, and observation decks view the falls from above and below.
Before you go
Waterfalls are hazardous by nature — wet rock, cold water, and unstable edges — and flow varies enormously with season and recent rain. Trail figures here describe the route as documented, not conditions today. Check Miami County Park District for closures and current conditions, and confirm land status before setting out.

The Charleston Falls Loop reaches it about 2.4 miles (loop) with roughly 167 feet of elevation gain, rated easy. The nearest town is Tipp City. That describes the route as documented, not conditions on the day — check with Miami County Park District for closures and current conditions.
Spring (after rain or snowmelt). Waterfall flow swings enormously with snowmelt and recent rain, so a fall that roars in spring can be a trickle by late summer.
