Ohio wake-sport rules
Ohio has no statewide wakesurfing distance/depth rule. Ohio Administrative Code 1501:47-7-19 (effective April 9, 2026) requires wakeboarding/wakesurfing/wakeskating with a wake-enhancing device to stay at least 250 feet from shore, but that rule applies to a specific waterbody (Lake Roaming Rock/Roaming Shores) rather than statewide. General towing-observer rules and lake-by-lake horsepower/use restrictions otherwise apply.
