This is the official classification published by Latvia under the EU Bathing Water Directive (2006/7/EC). It is not a safety clearance, and it does not cover algal blooms, nutrients, water clarity or hazards such as currents and depth. Conditions change after heavy rain. Always check local signage and the operator’s current notices before entering the water.
